At 25, Shakur Stevenson has become a hot commodity in boxing. He will look to add to his growing legacy on September 23. Inside the Prudential Center, Stevenson defends the WBC, WBO, and The Ring junior-lightweight titles against Robson Conceicao. 

A silver medalist in the 2016 Olympics, Stevenson made his pro debut in 2017. He won the WBO featherweight title in 2019 against Joet Gonzalez. Moving divisions, Stevenson won the interim WBO junior-lightweight title against Jeremiah Nakathila in 2021. Later that year, he beat Jamel Herring to become the regular champion. 

In his last fight in April, Stevenson beat Oscar Valdez via unanimous decision to win the WBC and The Ring junior-lightweight titles.

I want to make sure that I do my part,” Stevenson stated. “I’m going to come in shape and ready to fight on September 23. I’m going to put on a show for the kids, and for the city of Newark. A 2016 Olympic gold medalist, Conceicao made his pro debut that year. In 2021, he lost to Oscar Valdez for the WBC title. Conceicao rebounded in January with a unanimous decision win over Xavier Martinez.
