A system that kills feral cats by spraying them with a deadly gel that they lick off whereas cleansing themselves is being trialled as a approach to save endangered Australian wildlife.

Since their introduction to Australia in the 18th century, cats have severely harmed the native ecosystem by preying on native birds and small mammals. They’ve contributed to the extinction of greater than 20 Australian animals together with the paradise parrot, broad-faced potoroo, rusty numbat and desert bandicoot and proceed to threaten many extra.
