BANGKOK (Reuters) – Thailand’s Superior Information Service Pcl <ADVANC.BK> gained 23 spectrum licenses for 5G in auctions on Sunday, whereas True Pcl <TRUE.BK> gained 17, the nation’s telecoms regulator mentioned.
Thailand’s telecoms regulator raised over 100 billion baht ($3.21 billion) for 48 licenses for 5G providers on Sunday, forward of an anticipated industrial rollout later this 12 months.
Complete Entry Communication Pcl, or DTAC <DTAC.BK>, gained two licenses.
Two state-run operators, CAT Telecom and TOT, gained two and 4 licenses, respectively.
