LAHORE: Pakistan’s ailing former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was convicted of corruption, has left the nation and is touring to London for medical treatment.
Sharif departed on a particular aircraft on Tuesday from town of Lahore, after a courtroom granted him permission to depart for 4 weeks overseas for medical treatment.
His conviction was earlier suspended for eight weeks on medical grounds.
The 69-year-previous Sharif was sentenced to seven years in jail on corruption costs in 2019. After his well being deteriorated final month, he was rushed from his cell to a hospital in Lahore. Whereas in hospital, he suffered a minor coronary heart assault.
3 times prime minister, Sharif was faraway from workplace by the judiciary in 2017 over corruption allegations. He denies the cost, saying he was politically victimized.
